What's In a Golf Swing?

Author: Chelsea Aubin

Golf is one of the most complex sports around. Even though it may look simple, there are many basic skills you will have to master before being able to excel in this game. In any game you have to be acquainted with the basics before you will be able to play the game effectively, and golf is no different.

In golf, the most important skill is your swing. Your score and everything else in the game is based on how developed, and how well you know your swing. There are many different variations to a swing, and everyone's swing is different from another. There are many different things to consider when trying finding your swing, and one of the main aspects is the swing plane. The plane is the path the ball will follow after it has been hit by the club. This plane that you will want to aim for will run parallel to the ground with the ball after it has been hit by you.

There are several ways you can try to improve your golf plane. One way would be to get a trainer that will be able to help you in the way you hit the ball, and what path the ball will take after it is hit. If you think a trainer is too much, then there are other ways too. You could video tape yourself and see where you are hitting the ball, and where the ball is going. Then you will be able to adjust accordingly. The other is to use a golf club with a laser light in it. This will help you see where the ball will go after you have hit it, and also where on the ball you can adjust your swing to hit.

It can take a lot of time and practice to get your swing down. There are exercises that are easy to do and you can do them just about anywhere. But to get the right exercises you need, you need to know what needs to be improved on. This is when a trainer could help you immensely. They will be able to tell you where you need improvement, and then maybe suggest some exercises for you to do.

Be warned that if you try to fix the problems yourself, there is a chance that you cold be worsening your game, rather then improving it. It is strongly encouraged to consult a professional trainer before you altar your swing at all. They will be able to give you the best advice available.
